ROUSH CUSTOM WASTERS was founded on March 17th (St. Patrick's Day), 2007. The first creation of
our line of wooden training swords (also known as wasters) is a beautiful recreation of an Irish
medieval ring hilt sword engraved with images from the book of Kells.

Each sword in our line is carefully handcrafted by Mark Roush with many finishing touches by his
wife, Bonnie.  All of our swords are carefully researched,  see our production photo of the live blade.
Unlike many flimsy and, therefore, dangerous wooden swords on the market, our swords are true to
the medieval standards for wasters and intended for hard combative training.  They are beautiful to
behold and strong in battle.
